How long is reasonable to wait for sex?

I am ready to start dating again after being in a self-inflicted wilderness for many years!
A bit of background. I am a 35 year old girl, had 2 boyfriends, several flings and a few one night stands. I cut myself off from men for a long time because I couldn't take being hurt any more. (For a period I met one git after the other and just had enough)
I havent had sex in a few years. This is unusual but I didnt have my first orgasm until I was 30 and never with a man. I get hurt very easily and am not willing to sleep with a man and share my first 'shared orgasm' until I trust someone. This realistically could take several months. I am probably a bit strange for thinking this way but it's just the way I am.
My question is would a guy be willing to wait this long for sex?
I can't change the way I feel. I am not at all prudish. Have been sexually active since I was 19. But just feel extremely vulnerable after orgasm.

I think your thinking too much about orgasms.

Have you met someone? Do you like him, does he like you.

Some people have sex on the 1st date and end up in a great relationship, some people never hear from the person again.

When the time is right only you + him will know. Its when your comfortable. Chemistry.

Also i think sex for women gets better + better + better the longer your with someone, so it could be ok 1st time, good 2nd time, wow a while later.

If its going to be right its going to be right. It may be on the first or second date or thirty first date. Don't over think the sex and / or orgasm. No one is guaranteed an orgasm every single time (worse luck) but even without one sex can still be amazing and is a great way to be close to someone.
Go with the flow and enjoy things.

Agree with the above. No hard and fast rules here.

Have sex when you are ready, it could be within a day or two or a month or two or who knows.

Do what feels right when the time is right with the right person.

i waited nine months with my girlfriend....i was ready after 3 months but she took a while longer

whenever youre both ready. i really think the worst thing to have on your mind during sex would be "does she really want to do this yet"

In my past I waited 2.5 years once for a girl who was v. religious. We broke up then but was unrelated, although i do think it might have helped us get through what might have just been a bad patch....but you shouldnt be hitting bad patches in your first few months really!

I think a few months is not unreasonable, although Id expect some pressure after a few weeks unless you spoke to him about it
