Leg Waxing

I have been getting my legs waxed for a few years and to be honest I'd say maybe no more than 4 times a year I might have used a razor or immac (both as a last resort if I'm low on cash or in a rush).

The thing is I thought waxing was suppose to last 4 to 6 weeks I find that I am getting hairs growing back after 10 days or so and I am quite dark so its quite noticable, is there anything I can do to stop this obviously without going down the laser route.

I also wax under my arms and this doesn't grow back quickly, it just seems to be my legs and bikini, would it be because I have used the razor/immac.

    Thanks.

Your hair grows faster during the summer so that may account for your problem a little. Also have you been fully exfoliating your legs before waxing? If not then there may still be some hairs under the skin when you're being waxed and then they come out later so making it look like your wax hasn't been very good. It could also be that your getting them waxed too soon after the previous appointment or hair removal and so not all of the hairs are fully grown at the time of waxing and so remain afterward.

Oh thanks, I didn't realise hair grew faster in the summer, and if the truth be told probably don't exfoliate as often as I should. Will try that.

Just read this thread and I do the same sometimes I wax and sometimes I use a razor I know its not good to do both but is it really true that hair grows back thicker, just that sometimes money is tight and I can't afford to wax and sometimes the hair isn't long enough to get waxed and then the fine weather comes along and you can't wear shorts with hairy legs.

wonder about the waxing stripes are they any good? Can't imagine that the wax is as hot as a salon.
