Hey, so my brother bought a set of these today for gaming on the PS3. When we hooked em up to the TV there was no sound coming from the left speaker. I thought grand, probably just a faulty headset, we'll bring it back to gamestop and get a different one. The lad in gamestop then tells me that the headset wont work if I'm using a scart connector, I have to plug the red, white and yellow cables straight into the TV. Brought the headset home and tried it on a different TV, where you do plug the coloured cables straight into the TV and still, no sound was coming out of the left speaker.

I just find this kinda strange. It should work with a scart connector, shouldn't it? I'm fairly confused at the moment, especially considering it was just one ear that it didn't work in. Thanks!

    strange alright...

You hook these up by a) plugging into the USB port for voice chat, and then b) hooking into the left and right audio from the Multi-AV socket.
It's been a while, but am assuming you are plugging the yellow plug into a SCART adaptor, and the red and white into the PX21s, and then the SCART adaptor?

Have you tried taking the PX21s out of the equation? just connect to SCART adaptor?

How did you get sound before you bought these?

I just had it coming out of the TV, with the AV cables going into a scart adapter.

ANyway it doesn't matter anymore, I brought them back to gamestop and was given a different set, and they work like a charm, even with the scart :) Crisis averted :)

I bought my px21's over a year ago and never had any problems with them. I find them good especially for FPS games as you can hear which side any gunfire is coming from helping you to find targets quicker.

I've known a good few lads who got them for both ps3 and xbox and a lot of them have had problems. Turtle beach always have a good name but it seems the quality just isn't there

Got the DPX21 there about 3 weeks ago, its the PX21 with the Surround Sound thing. I'm really impressed, great for Call of Duty and watching movies without interrupting anyone.

Well imo PX21's are cheaply made (but not cheap to buy) and are of poor build quality, having gone thru 2 sets in 4 mts and my mates online have had probs with theirs,(left ear piece making no sounds), even game stop have stopped selling them due to returns, anyway i bought a set of Trittons last week, straight out of the box you could tell they were made of better stuff, personally i think its hit and miss with PX's, but after been hit twice, i wont be foolish enough to buy another!
