How many copys of the star do you have to get? Is it 1 token per day in the star or one per week or what? Might pick this up as a back up phone. Cheers OP.

guys if its the same 1616 they're selling then its a sim free phone but you have to get o2 credit. I could be wrong. and if i am then i apologise.

Yes, you just need 3 tokens from any 3 days this week, it is while stocks last though, so they could sell out on wednesday

completely sold out in Limerick... guy in the parkway store said that it was like christmas eve in there and he could have done with a riot shield... they only had 40 phones this morning and they flew out the door. He then tried to sell us the same phone, only sim free, for 30 euro. He said they might have a couple coming in tomorrow but he wasnt sure.

Got one of these at 9am today. They had 10 today, sold out in a few mins. Grand little phone for when you just need a basic phone.

Rang up pavillions swords branch this morning and they said they might be getting a delivery in between 4 and 6 pm so I chanced it.

Around 4.30 PM no sign of anything so headed off and had a look around, on my way out I thought I'd chance it again and to my luck they got the delivery about 15 seconds after I entered the shop!

There was only 10 and luckily I was no.3 in the queue (there was a good few behind me)

Sold out in The Square and Nutgrove shopping centres today. Although the woman in Nutgrove gave me a form to send in with my tokens and when they get more phones in they'll hold one for me, so sent that off today

If you do have problems getting one, their is a number and email address in the star if your having problems

My OH was in Claremorris this morning. None in stock & none came in. She got the form as well. Good idea if it guarantees you a phone. They should have done it that way from the start. Even if it took 4/5 weeks to get one, at least everyone would be happy in the end.

I bought one of these from the Carphone Warehouse for my father when he asked me to get him a barebones phone, it was €30 with code for €10 O2 credit on the receipt, bought it a week before this offer appeared. He's delighted with it, the battery lasts him 2 weeks between charges and the earpiece volume can be turned up very loud.

Glad to hear it's a decent basic phone. Makes a change to get any sort of decent phone these days. Hopefully its exactly what i need.
Otherwise, maybe i'll resort to tracking down another 3210

Got text today saying that my form had been received and that phone should be available in approx 4 weeks.

They were in that rag called the Star in mid-July. Had to collect 3 tokens from that week & bring them to your nearest Carphone unit.
