    HI,
    Full details: http://www.alliance-francaise.ie/AF_photo_award.pdf

Submissions now open for the inaugural Alliance Française Photography Award
    Submissions deadline: September 1st, 2010
Submissions are being sought from artists of all nationalities and living
in Ireland, with a particular interest in photography, for an exhibition
from 26 November 2010 until 12 February 2011, inspired by the particular
multi-use context of the Gallery of the Alliance Française which is also a
    café space.
All submissions are welcome, and particular consideration will be given to
those which site their proposed artworks or interventions within the
structure of the room itself. All submissions should respond to ideas
located within photographic representation, which can be understood as a
self-contained body of work, or a direct response to the space itself.
    Submissions should include:
    · 5 images of proposed artwork for exhibition. Prints should be
unmounted and of A4 maximum size with name on the back of each print
and no identifying marks on the actual print side.
    · Up to 5 images of previous work. Prints should be unmounted and of A4
maximum size with name on the back of each print and no identifying
marks on the actual print side.
    · Text description of the proposed artwork (max 500 words) for the
competition exhibition, including details of how it is to function in
the space, and the conceptual outline of the artwork.
    · Artist’s CV, and full contact details, including email and telephone.
Submissions due: September 1st, 2010 (no entry fee).
Artists will be shortlisted from the open submission for the competition
    exhibition (Alliance Française Dublin 26 November 2010 - 12 February 2011)
by the Advisory Committee of the Gallery of the Alliance Française.
Shortlisted artists will be responsible for producing ready to install
    exhibition prints or equivalent.
A winner will be selected from this exhibition.
    The Prize:
The winner of the Alliance Française inaugural photography prize will be
announced at the opening of the exhibition on Thursday 25 November 2010, by
Claire Bourgeois, Director of the Alliance Française.
The winner will receive the following:
Return flights to Paris provided by the Alliance Française Dublin for a
two-week stay in 2011 at the Centre Culturel Irlandais in Paris, sponsored
by the Centre Culturel Irlandais. The prize also includes a €600 grant,
sponsored by the Ireland Fund of France with a one-to-one professional
tutorial on how to prepare raw RGB photographic image files for fine art
lithographic printing, sponsored by Vermillion Design. In addition, should
the winner not be a French speaker, the prize will include a French course
at the Alliance Française Dublin prior to the trip.

I've that posted in the serviced wanted section, looks like a nice way to display your work!

which reminds me that we still have no clear "procedure" for competitions and the like...
