    Hi Guys,

I'm heading to a wedding in Rome in September this year. Was wondering where is the best place to buy a nice, reasonably priced suit in Dublin City. Would be looking to get some use out of it over time so quality is a must.

    Any suggestions appreciated.

Best place to buy it would be Rome. :)
There are a tremendous number of outlets for mens suits throughout the country. Quality tends to be dominated by price though there are exceptions. You can find supprising bargans at low cost and you can find tat at high costs.

Do you have a price range? Bear in mind that you will also be forking out for a good dress shirt or two, new shoes/belt/tie/cufflinks.

Not sure really about price range. Just dont want to look to tacky in the suit. Already have a black pair of shoes that are still in decent nick. Also have a couple of shirts, but would be no harm in buying another.
I'd be thinking a budget of €500 max for everyting. Not sure if that is enough but unfortunately my budget has come down over the last few months.
So, thinking that I'd have a buget of €500 for suit, shirt, tie, and cufflinks. Wouldnt get a hell of a lot of wear. Only wear Casual/everyday clothing in work. Maybe attending a number of wedding/christenings etc over the next few years.

John Taylor on Baggot street is pretty good. They usually have some pretty good deals on if your not too fussy on the style of suit

T.M. Lewin on South Anne Street have a great deal on at the moment and have good quality products.

Any 4 shirts or ties for 120E. I believe you can mix or match so two ties and two shirts.

It's probably easiest to go with a solid white and solid blue shirt, the classic and most versatile colours, particularly to match with suits.

I also bought a nice set of cufflinks there for 34E.

Assuming you're using the same shoes, that leaves you ~350E for the suit. You can certainly get a good off the rack one for that amount or even less. In fact get a reasonably well fitting one for 300E and keep the extra 50E for tailoring on the seat/legs/sleeves if needs be.

Going to T.M. Lewins is just a suggestion, by all means shop around too!

Edit: Make sure the shoes are a decent pair too, not a crumpled, worn looking leather pair with rubber soles. It would detract from the outfit significantly imo.
