I went; I was on a promise so didn't want to break that.
It was wet, very wet. The turnout was not as high as in previous shows. There was a fair selection of cars there but very few pre-50s or high value (monetary or rare) cars. That's understandable though; who'd want to leave a vintage car out in the driving rain.

Also very little agri-machinery present. Again, understandable considering most of it would be trailered there. The stalls were sodden so I doubt much trading was done and I reckon the ice cream van sold about 3 cones on the day.

That said there was a good turnout of American muscle and plenty of 70s-90s run of the mill family machinery, which I like.

Choice of attire was interesting. It was wet but humid. Some people opted for minimalist shorts and T-shirt. Less to get wet I suppose. Others went with boots and waterproofs. I think the majority of people present were exhibitors with few paying public attending. The atmosphere was generally good though; people just accepted the weather.

Glad to say my own car made it there and back without a hitch. It was its first longish run in over 10 years. It coped fine with the torrential rain and flooded roads on the way home! Just one door seal letting in water into the driver side footwell (...which helps explain why I needed to weld it).

Fair play to the organizers too. I had visions of a quagmire, with cars getting stuck all over the place. But they were well organized with good access in and out.

yeah, it was the weather that put the damper on it. There was an hour or two mid afternoon when the rain stopped and I got a bit of a look around. But there were no big crowds.
I was talking to one UK trader that hardly shifted anything all day. His mate said the same, it was very poor.
I took a few pics, mostly of our club cars, and will try to put them up later.

No bother. I didnt get so many taken at all. Mostly Mercs this time I'm afraid. It probably is a great show every other year (that was my first time there) but the weather really drowned it.:)
