    Promo Trailer

    http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/news/a246423/david-cross-joins-running-wilde-cast.html
David Cross has joined the cast of upcoming Fox comedy Running Wilde.
TV Guide reports that the comedian will play Andy, a "radical environmentalist" who is engaged to Emmy Kadubic (Keri Russell).
He is replacing Eastbound & Down star Andrew Daly, who played the role in the original unaired pilot.
The show will see Cross - who portrayed failed actor Tobias Fünke on Arrested Development - reunite with creator Mitch Hurwitz, as well as former co-star Will Arnett.
The character of Andy will appear in seven of Running Wilde's first 13 episodes.
The series will premiere in September on Fox.

As long as Keri dont cut her hair it should last :p

Watched this after watching Raising Hope. RH is better, though this had it's moments. Not enough though to make me looking forward to the next. Will Arnett as a lead takes some getting used to.

This was absolutely awful stuff... and it pains me to say that, as a huge fan of both 'Arrested Development', Mitchell Hurwitz and Will Arnett.

I didn't even crack a smile in the 20 minute duration.. the writing was dreadful, jokes were and scenes were falling flat (the "Mr Magazine" scene.. what the feck?). The supporting performances were average (even from the excellent Peter Seranofiwicz) and both Arnett and Russell just really don't look like they're giving it their all.. and the closing shot of the daughter grimacing to camera made me slightly ill.

Maybe it'll improve... but jesus, that was woeful! Raising Hope was 100 times better.. and even that had plenty of jokes that fell flat.

I only watched 5 minutes, but I didn't smile once in that 5 minutes, which was enough for me to throw in the towel, even though I loved Arrested Development and love Arnett too.
Thought Raising Hope was fantastic, but this was tripe...

wasn't great I'll agree, but am going to give it a chance.rarely do ya see a pilot thats very good,so hopefully people won't judge it too harshly.
Christ if every one was overly critical of new shows,tv like seinfield would never have been given a chance.

I was very disapointed with this. Out of all the trailers for the new comedys for this season this was the one I was most looking forward to. I dont know if it was the editing or the writing or what but it wasnt that funny at all. Im hoping its gets better.

Awful, just plain awful. I wanted to reach right in there and pull Keri Russell out of that mess. *yanks*

Oh I thought it was pretty funny. Show genuinely has potential. That scene with "doctor" and the tiny horse was pretty hilarious.

Arnett is a legend - glad to see him back on TV doing his thing.

I liked it. Humorous and enjoyable, if not LOL funny. Hopefully Seranofiwicz's character is in every episode and the kid mysteriously disappears.

The kid could be good, but they should have tried to get the daughter from Better Off Ted since I think she's out of work now.

2nd episode is much better. Quite funny and the Arnett + Cross combination is hilarious as ever.

Can't agree OisinT. It felt like more of the same, and I can't see the show surviving to a second season as:

    a) it's not humourous enough to gain a cult following
    b) the humour isn't mainstream enough to get big ratings

It falls somewhere in between, and it's not very impressive. Some of the supporting characters are ridiculously stereotypical - e.g Mr Lunt.

I hope it improves, but it's far from must-see viewing right now.

Fox ordered 8 re-writes of the pilot?

    http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/ustv/news/a280678/running-wilde-exec-admits-constraints.html

Either Fox are pricks or they thought it was shiite and needed alot of work.

"I have more masters to please," he said. "On Arrested, what I was trying to work hard on was to get my vision completely out there. What I'm working hard on now is trying to accommodate other people's visions."

I follow Arnett and Serafinowicz on Twitter and almost every message they've made has been about trying to get more people to watch it as it's ratings are so low. Sounds like they know it doesn't stand a chance.

edit: I still laughted at that clip though :D

The show itself has been getting better with every episode but it doesn't have the critical acclaim or ratings. It's inevitable that it's going to get cancelled.

I think Fox have ordered 13 episodes but it's unlikely they'll order the back 9 if the ratings continue to drop

    http://www.tvguide.com/News/Fox-Pulls-Running-1026768.aspx

Fox has decided to pull the remaining five episodes of Running Wilde from its schedule, TVGuide.com has learned.
Wilde, which stars Will Arnett and Keri Russell, drew just 4.1 million viewers in its latest outing. Fox has not set dates for the final five episodes to run.

I was actually starting to enjoy this show :o

Yeah, I thought it was pretty good. :(

Thats a pity. Alot of the episodes were a bit boring, but I really enjoyed the Unnecessoirée episode. This could have been a very good show given a bit more time to develop.

It’s not unusual to see episodes of canceled shows burned off at odd times or during the summer. But it is a bit rare to see shows burned off on a sibling cable network. But according to a report from The Futon Critic, that’s what’s happening with the burn off of the final four episodes of Fox’s Running Wilde. The four remaining un-aired episodes will air on FX at 10pm on Thursdays beginning April 28.
