    Hi,

A Mazda 323 LX.. 97 Saloon. When it rains, under the passanger seat and behind it gets wet. Even when the car is just parked. I have no idea where the water is coming in... Checked it with a hose to check but no luck...

    Any one encounter this?

Older Mazdas used to have an awful reputation with regards to the windscreen leaking.
Depending on where the leak actually was on the screen, it would either drip on you or just appear as soggy carpets.
    I know.
    I had one!!

I have an Opel Omega and had a similar problem once. Open the bonnet and see if you have leafs in the holes designed to let water run off from the windscreen / bonnet area. Never happened again once you ensure holes are not blocked.

Had exactly the same problem! under the windscreen / bonnet in the centre their was a hose/outlet that when blocked caused a back up of water which flooded inti the footwells:mad:

Hi sorry to hear about your car.... it can be difficult to find a leak like that...

Is your coolant going down by any chance? Its just sometimes wet carpets can be caused by a leaking heat matrix behind the dashboard..

If you're certain it's a leaky windscreen then you'll have to dry the area and sprinkle around the talcum powder to figure out where the leak is coming from.. it can be a right pain to trace it.

Was the car ever in a crash on the passenger side? Check the top of door seal and along the B-pillar.

Check for rust too under the car, ie floor pan / sills... It could be water being splashed up by driving on wet roads

    Cheers,

    Was the windscreen replaced recently?

I had this on a car before and it was broken pollen filter which was causing the leak to come through to the floor of the car.
    Worth checking out.
