Has anyone actually given up the day job to take up golf professionally? Or know anyone else that has done it?

I always think about it, and wonder if there is a time when it's actually too late?

    (ahhh daydreams)

i know a guy who is thinking of giving up the day job, to teach fat tourists how to play golf on a cruise liner.
he says when you pull into port you bring groups out to play on the golf courses.
not great money but good tips, all meals bed and board taken care of, not bad for cruising around the carribbean playing golf.
hes not even that good ,hes a single figure handicap with a good knowledge of the golf swing and a leather neck.
