Is running on a cross trainer good excercise?

Hi folks! I am 52 years of age and started to run in February this year. I am running on my cross trainer 3-4 times a week for 50 min. 30 min cardio and the rest endurance. Stopped smoking 3 months ago and doing well.
Is this training enough for my age or should I do more? I should say, that I am doing light gymnastic as well.
How can I read what for km I am running on a Pro Form 280 Razor? I have no bicycle mode and it shows the distance in RPM. Can someone help me to figure this out please?!

It's good exercise, but it's not running. It's a different leg movement, there's no impact, it's working your arms as well as your legs... which is why it records rpm and not km.

You'd probably get more useful information from the Fitness forum?

Thanks for the quick reply! I was thinking the same but not really sure of it. Thought that somehow I could figure out what I do on km. Will try it in the fitness forum. Thanks for your help!:D
