    Hi ,

Just about a year ago, My Dad was in our hometown and a girl whom I havent heard from for over 8 years, approached him, turned on the charm and somehow got hiim to give her my phone number.

I havent seen this person in 8 years, and all of a sudden she wants to get in touch with me and get all pally, and go to forests together and the beach, and do stuff together. We both went to an all girls school, and to be honest the experience of that I would rather forget, hence why I did'nt keep in touch with many of the girls whom I left behind when I decided to do an extra year.

The other thing is, this girl had a termination in the same year that I had a miscarriage, and she seems to think these two things are the same thing, and that we can empathise with each other and hold hands and cry together.

Told Dad that I wasnt happy with him giving my number out willy nilly like that, and he seemed to think it was ok, not a huge offence. After all, she is a sweet innocent good looking women ! I mean what harm could it be?

Im not changing my number now, but I know that very shortly she will be back in touch again, fishing for all the details of my life, and to be honest I just dont know that her intentions of "friendship" are actually genuine. I don't feel that they are.

Just ignore her when she does contact you. Like totally ignore her. As long as you don't open the lines of communication (ignore all calls/voicemails/texts from her) then she will go away.

Either ignore her calls and texts yourself until she gives up, or block her number after the first contact.

    Best of luck.

    Hey OP,

I have experienced this, I was friends with someone years ago but they were not a good friend and they were cruel to me on quite few occasions. Anywho, I hadn't seen this person in literally years when a friend request pops up on Facebook, I ignored it and she requested again and again. Every time it comes up I mark it "ignore". I'm not under any obligation to be friends with someone I don't want to be friends with nor am I obliged to tell them my business which friending someone on Facebook effectively does. We're grown up and can choose our friends, it's not like when you're in school and get in trouble for leaving someone out. We're allowed to decide not to be friends with someone.

Stop worrying about this for god's sakes, you're not obliged to answer the phone to her, or the door or anything else for that matter. Just ignore her and eventually she'll get the message.
