Im in the process of building a new house and want to put a range cooker in the kitchen. Are Rangemaster considered the best? Was going to go for an 1100 cooker. Any advice greatfully recieved.

What money were you thinking of spending? I'd love a Falcon myself, but not cheap.

What did you go for in the end? Im looking at the Rangemaster classic 90 dual fuel. Did a lot of shopping online around the north but DID are pitching a fairly competitive price!

didnt buy yet as not ready for kitchen, blocks only at first floor! looking like a rangemaster 1100. saw some good prices in DID all right but Briscoes (Expert) in Drogheda said they would match any price even from the north. Will decide in the next few weeks and put it out to tender then. will post who is keenest when we have bought.

Actually Dalzells up North just blew DID out of the water closely followed by Samsyerman.

I bought a Rangemaster Professional+ 8 ring gas hob 2 electric ovens, 2 years ago, very happy with it! Shop around, prices vary hugely from shop to shop, got mine in Expert Drogheda they had a sale on at the time saved a grand believe it or not!

Has anyone got an induction hob rangemaster?

When i started looking at the cookers i was taking to the salesman in DID and he put me off induction hobs due to price, he told me they were another 1000 or 1500 on top of dual fuel but i have since got some other prices where the difference is only 400 or so.

No messing with gas cylinders and much easier to keep clean are my main reasons for going induction.

Any of you got experiences to share?

I bought a Rangmaster Elan 90 less than 2 years ago and am delighted with it. I got a dual fuel (gas hob/elec grill & ovens). It cost €2500 in Power City. I much prefer a gas hob for cooking as it's so much more controllable but then I'm connected to Bord Gais so cylinders weren't of any concern.

I have a Rangemaster 90 Induction Hob. Great product.

I bought it in Watters Electrical in Newry. Delivered to my door too, for €1900. Bear in mind that that was when sterling was at a better rate so it might be a bit more expensive now.

It's just as controllable as gas but without the mess and no changing of bottles or getting deliveries to a tank. Obviously you need to use pots and pans that react to magnetism and they tend to be slightly heavier but, I'd recommend Induction hobs 100%.
