Seeking part time work should one also enter full time on Monster.ie to open doors?

The question is in the title really.

I am only seeking part time work but there appears to be so little out there in technical support/IT, although I do know of some not-so-well/non advertised positions.

On my Monster profile there's a checkbox for full-time and part-time, should I also check the former so that if an employer who obviously likes my CV contacts me I can raise with them the idea of my fulfilling a part-time role with them?

I would see tick the full time box too, might help you to get their attention so to speak. Good Luck.

It's an employer's market. They will not waste their time trawling through CVs on monster.ie. Really, why on earth would they?! Sure, upload your CV, it can't do any harm, and you might as well say "full time" on it - like all the others. But as far as I can see, the jobs that are being given these days are being given to the most proactive candidates.

Would you recommend the same for a draft email I have saved to send to a company directly tomorrow morning, that is should I remove the mentioning of part-time work from it and only raise it when I'm speaking with someone in HR directly?
