    Hi all,
    This is a strange one.
I'm having trouble getting my computer to recognize a 4GBhc card which I purchased recently. I have posted about this elswhere. However something else has come up because of this.

I read some where that I might get a Microsoft 'Hotfix' KB/923293 to fix the problem with the card. Heres the strange bit. My computer when purchased in 2006 had WindowsXP Media Centre Edition 2005 installed. It still has security sticker with these details on casing. But now I notice by way of system tools>system info that it says the OP system is Microsoft Windows XP Professional ?
No one else has been near my PC and I have had only the ususal updates over the years.... Whats going on?

There is a major difference between an SD card and a SDHC card. Although look physically the same they use different software for access.

It is possible that your PC only has card reader drivers for the SD card which has a maximum capacity of 2GB.
I suggest that you look at the website of your PC manufacturer and see if there is a driver available to use SDHC cards. I have updated both Dell and HP Compaq systems using this method.
