Apologies for the lads, jfh, they get a bit giddy at the weekends.

That sounds very saucy to me but I haven't bought them for over ten years, time to shop around I think.

I am not a fan of buying drugs online, but as a price guide..........

we haven't used sponges in over 15 years but it seem a tad on the expensive side, suppose the pmsg is the big cost, @ this time of year you would most likely be using up to 750 unit?

by the way we intend letting lambing date slip to 1 feb next year, the ewes will be flushed on good grass c/w mineral lick and for the last 10 days the rams will be in a paddock next to them, this should synchronise the ewes a bit and get the rams kick started for action, when they are eventually joined up

How come you not lambing until Feb 1st if you dont mind me asking? Easter is April 24th, so that only leaves about 11 weeks...

we dont really aim for the easter market, find that lambs are often dearer the weeks after easter

but the main reasons are as follows

we are getting a better crop from the feb lambing ewes

hopefully ( didn't happen this year) it will allow us to built up a better wedge of grass

longer days , and we start calving about 25 january so it gives us (OH and myself) a couple extra weeks free. all the offspring have their own commitments and while they help whenever they can, we really cant expect them to help.

we aim to have at least 80% of the feb born lambs drafted by 20th may.
