Would anyone have a suggestion for a first car to buy? I'm female and have just passed my test. Need something reliable as I work in Dublin but home is in Tyrone. Would prefer a small engine diesel, but it needs to be a reasonable size and hold the road well. Learned to drive in a Micra, but need to move up a size or 2.

Also, will I be able to buy my car in the North and drive is down south if my car's registered address is my home address in Tyrone or will I get pulled by police and be forced to reregister it if I'm working in Dublin?????

Ford focus tddi is a good car, extremely reliable, nice to drive and good on fuel.
