Doing BIS and interested in becoming a Business Teacher...

    Im doing BIS in UCC and was wondering if anyone has/known someone who has become a business secondary school teacher out of it. Im not sure if its even possible :/

    I plan on doing a HDip in English after I get my BIS Degree, So that I can teach both.

    Anyone with any info about it would be greatly appreciated :)

    At the end of the page there is a link to 'list of recognised qualifications (post-primary)'.

    BIS is listed as a recognised qualification for teaching Business, Economics and Accounting. Please note that there are specific requirements for certain subjects shown in the link 'subject-specific criteria (post-primary)' at the end of the homepage (e.g. you need to have studied Accounting for 3 years to teach LC accounting - you can do this in BIS, but the Accounting module is an elective in final year.
