    Quick question.

Can I use any HP charger for a 6715b once it has the right wattage and connection obviously. I have burnt out a 65W one I found at work and the original gave up the ghost a few weeks ago.

    Cheers.

ITS ok to use ,if voltage, ampage is the same as old one and polaritry is the same, Look at old,and the new ,psu labels, is plus on the inside, minus outside,eg is polarity the same as the original charger.eg
if old 1 is 16v and new is 19volt do not use it.
    the laptop,underneath,should have a label,with,amp,voltage, polarity ratings.diagram ,circle,is it minus,or plus inside the circle?
    Check the polarity carefully.

Thanks ricman, the one I am using has come alive again but its only a matter of time because it is overheating a lot. I need a 18.5V, 4.9A, 90W charger. The one I am using is 18.5V, 3.5A, 65W. You'd think I'd no better with my electrical engineering degree.
