I'm just wondering if many people here have a streaming channel to stream the odd bit of gameplay.

Mine is at http://www.justin.tv/thechrisd, I hope to start it up properly now that I have the capability to stream consoles well. I used to try stream PC but it ended up making my machine way too laggy to be able to play well.

So do you guys have a streaming channel? Which service do you prefer out of all of them?

I have a live stream for my website, but I don't stream nearly as much as I like to. With speeds and bandwidth, it's very hard to stream regularly. When I do stream, I do it at Justin.tv, and here:

I do plan on streaming more, though.

^^ That was my attempt a while back to stream from world of warcraft from my PC, while levelling up a druid.
Terrible it was, you never realise until afterwards how utterly boring it is to watch someone levelling up in Wow :P

It works a lot better though if you set it to Iphone streaming, quality is spot on for the small screen, uses a lot less upload speed and higher quality (considering the screen size you transmit) plus it's a lot less laggy for the PC.

The few minutes of football stuff there was me testing out streaming from the satellite receiver to my PC over the network and then on to a friend in Australia, never really worked out well enough, local network kept failing trying to keep up with the HD and then re-broadcasting it.

My connection with UPC is great for downloading but their upload speeds are terrible and you really want to be broadcasting in high quality so people can actually see what's going on rather than pixelated crap.

Love this new forum btw, enjoying reading through all your posts.

I use Justin TV to stream. Some of the things I do to cut down on resources - Is use FME2.5 instead of 3.0. Its a good bit more effiecent.
    - I run FME in the command line so no GUI.
If you cant be bothered doing this step atlest turn of video and audio preview.
    - I also run windows in classic mode instead of Aero.
