I got hooked on these two while in the States in July, are they available on any channels here?

Both shows are deadly. Best hungover morning TV everrrrr... after the World Cup, that is.

The Daily Show is on More 4, Colbert used to be on FX, don't think it is any more. Colbert is a legend.

Go to the Colbert website and all videos are blocked. It tells us we can see content on FXUK. Must be 18 months since FX decided to drop it. A damn shame as I enjoyed it.

Daily show should be compulsory viewing :D

Have it on reminder on sky channel 139 - More 4. It's a day behind and airs 20:30 showing the previous Comedy Central show from the night before. Monday is the global edition, showing the best show from the previous week.

The Colbert show is produced by John Stewart, but I've never seen the actual show apart from the links from the Daily show.

    Colbert > Stewart.

You can watch The Daily Show (and Colbert) on their own websites with a few simple adjustments to Firefox. Download and install the Firefox add-on "Modify Headers", available here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/967/

Then after restarting Firefox, just click Tools, then click Modify Headers. Add a new header called X-Forwarded-For (first box), and give it the value 12.13.14.15 (second box). Leave the third box blank.

Hey presto, the Daily Show and Colbert websites now work from Ireland. Simples. :)

Will give that a try! i presume this works for any US region blocked content?

    edit: didn't work

    Didn't work for me sadly.

It works for some things but not many, Comedy Central's geoblocking software seems to have been written by a 5 year old is all. For some other sites such as Wisevid it will actually stop them from working, so I'd disable it when not watching the Daily Show/Colbert if I were you. There's an enable/disable button on the right hand side of the modify headers window.

Are you sure you did it right? Works perfectly for me. I'd post an image of how it should look but I don't know how.:(

It worked for me for two clips... and then stopped. Weird.

I tried it three times. There are other ways of watching so it's not that big a deal.

Ireland needs a Daily Show, (Hall's pictorial weekly style).
Except these days it would need be broadcast outside of RTE/FF jurisdiction;)

Best shows ever. Been a diehard Stewart fan since he took over the show from Craig Kilborn and Colbert is legend.

The Daily Show starts on RTE1 on 20th Sept, according to Digiguide (at 4.50pm, repeated early next morning).

It has been brought to my attention that it may actually be The Daily Show with Claire Byrne. That no good opinionated twit.

On Digiguide it says "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart", but the times (afternoon and early morning) seem wrong, so maybe they mean another "Daily Show" alright. Like, er, this one:

Yes, Claire Byrnes show which starts in a few weeks. Digiguide do get it wrong from time to time and the synopsis is most likely something that is put in automatically when the system sees The Daily Show
