    Witness really needed!!!
On the 3rd of June, on Kingswood Luas stop my 2 year old baby was left alone in the buggy in the Luas after I was attemping to board myself with the buggy in to the tram. However, I pushed the buggy with the baby in and the door had closed in front of me and I was left on the platform.

My baby was taken out on Cookstown stop by 2 inspectors.

Please if you were on the luas on that day and you have seen the incident or even you know someone who had seen it, I really ask you to get in tuch with me.

Boards.ie is really the last chance to find a witness who knows anything about it.

MOD EDIT: PM user if necessary.

And what?? Had you not like calld 999 a hundred times in sheer panic like any normal person would if that happened??? Would that not prove it was a complete accident???

In fairness the driver should have been looking when he closed the doors.

Yeah thats true of course but I find it very strange that this person has to try prove themselves. Surely anyone would be on the phone instantly callin 999/luas, in a panic down the phone saying their baby was stuck on the luas, would that not prove it???

Can't u just press the button as the doors are closing and they re-open? Did noone on the tram notice and alert the driver?

It's been a few years since I last used the Luas but I certainly would have been banging on the drivers door to make damn sure he knew...

I smell either a sensationalist story in the Evening rag or a compensatory court case coming on:rolleyes:

Actually I could be wrong. A lot of the other posts she made are about her 2 year old.
Maybe I am just sceptical after spending too long on boards.

Having said that, you're right. This thread is a pile of crap and needs to be locked down now.

Maybe I too spoke too soon Jumpy. But this does sound rather unbeliveable.

Erm hold on there, if this is true exactly what blame lies with the parent?
Should she have forced open the doors with her superhuman parent strength?

As a matter of interest OP, if you don't mind me asking, do you need witnesses for this incident because you are looking for some sort of compensation, or because you are being charged with something in relation to it?

    I'm locking this thread.

If anyone feels the need to respond to the OP, then they should do it via PM as I'm also editing out reference to the email. IN general, we don't advise posting of email addresses on boards OP.

the rest of you can pipe down.
