    i thought there was a such thing as carbon ceramic brakes.
    a mix of both.

    They are made of two fundementally different materials and have completely different applications.

    The ceramics ( in my experience ) need a bit of heat in them before working. And they also suffer less from fading when getting a really good hammering

    im loooking for new brake pads for my 645ci i have had Pagid Rs 4-2 blue before on my old car and i found them to be excellent they are a carbon based pad

    , but i now see they do Pagid Rs -14 (ceramic based) which according to them have better bite
