i installed freesat, its good, but i get all those channels on fta skybox, you can buy skybox plus dish on buynsell 80euro plus remote .
THE MENU ON EVEN AN OLD SKY,RECIEVER is much better, easy to use,eg,,music, news, films, favorites, and you can run 4 boxes off 1 dish using a sky satellite, quad lnb with4 cable outputs.
see www.satellite.ie or a satellite supply shop.search quad lnb from the website.
google how to install sky satellite dish .
on the freesat reviever its hard to navigate, menu is very basic,on sky box, theres a schedule ,you can see whats on for the next 24 hours.
if you want to watch eurosport ,dutch 24hr news etc there may be some obscure channel on freesat you want, thats not on sky fta, otherwise i see no point in freesat at all.
and sky has like 4 freemovie channels,truemovies1,2,FILM4 movies etc that are not on freesat

I would ask the mods to move this to the sat section and you will be bombarded with tons of useful guidence very quickly.....

They steered me on an excellent course.
