Rte player through ps3 - sound but no picture

    Hi, just wondering if anyone else is having/has had the same problem and if they've managed to fix it?

    Oddly enough some things will play but what usually happens is it plays the advertisements fine and then I just get a black screen with perfect audio but no video??

    Yeah noticed this myself both last night and this morning. Lets hope the great and wise Oracles that reside on boards can help us :D

    this happens when I have PS3 connected to CRT type TV but is fine on LCD

    My tv is lcd so that's not the problem, at least for me...

    excuse my ignorance but how does this work? I have tversity running from my laptop through my ps3 but this would be handy to have also. cheers

    You just open the web browser and look up RTE player.

    Im getting the same thing just black screen but sound.

    Works fine for me. Have it going through HDMI to an LCD.

    I've had this problem with longer programs (over an hour in length), but not with shorter programs.. might be a PS3 memory issue there.

    i wonder is there any way to delete the memory? I tried deleting all the web browsers history/ cookies etc. but still dont work

    its a problem with rte player it self not just on ps3 its been like that for me on my laptop also got a friend to check on his comp an he also couldnt get it to work been actin up for a while now

    this started happening on the PS3 with the last software update they released. the good news is, with the latest release of the PS3 firmware (v3.41), RTE Player is working fine again :)

    i tried it yesterday and it worked fine, i would like a HD option as it look very bad on my TV. Youtube has full HD and now 4k i don't see why RTE can't at least have 720p

    RTE does not broadcast in hd so the best we could hope for in the Player would be SD. At the moment it isnt even SD.

    Flash updated recently on my laptop anyway and around the same time it stopped working on the PS3 so i guess this update included that flash update as well.

    I have been trying to use Sky Player through my house mates PS3 but it has not been working. A message at the top of the screen says the browser I am using is not supported. Anybody have any advice on this?

    Never used a PS3 until today so pretty new to it. RTE player is working fine though once I got that update which was mentioned earlier.
