Munster Group insurnace question

    Hi all,

I bought my car insurance from Munster a while ago, the cover is provided by Chartis. Breakdown and recovery assistance is part of the cover but I never bothered to ask for the emergency phone number(I was never given the number:confused:) since my car hasn't had a problem for a long time. Only this morning I realised the battery's flat, looked everywhere for the emergence phone number without any luck. I tried to call Munster but their office is closed for weekend.

It'd be much appreciated if anyone insured with Munster and let me know the emergency phone number for breakdown service.

    Cheers:D

Chartis not McCarthys would provide the breakdown cover I believe. Were you given a policy booklet - the number is usually on the back.

I don't recall receiving the policy booklet, but I do have a Summary of Cover sheet which states what is covered, there is a phone number for windscreen breakage but no number for breakdown.

When I called them up they told me breakdown is covered, otherwise I wouldn't have bought the insurance from them. It says on the summary of cover that breakdown is coverd, but no phone number is provided. I bought the insurance in late May, maybe they changed it since you bought it?

Does anyone have a phone number for the breakdown service? Can't find it on internet.

Unfortunately the booklet doesn't have the phone number on it. If it did I would be sorted.
