MF390 tyre size advise please?

Using 16.9R34 Goodyear Supertraction radials on MF390 at the moment. Local "across the ditch" advisor recommends using a wider tyre. The Goodyears are at the end of their days for work! Thought I'd drop by here for some advise before making a purchase. What say ye please?

id say check the manual if it has those sheets about tyre sizes if its not there dont chance it we were pricing ones for our own tractor because the fronts are bald but he said he had a fella come in and order huge tyres. Anyway he arrived along with his tractor and they had to tell him they wouldnt suit he persisted and said to stick them on when he drove off theres a step down onto the road and all they heard was a lovely crunching sound of plastic :rolleyes: needless to say the original size went back on
