Splitter or Combiner

    Wrong kind.

You need a 950MHz Sat/TV splitter. Which also works as combiner.
One at each end of cable.
one port is "common" for the shared coax
the other two connections are TV and SAT :)

    Here is one http://satellite.ie/acatalog/Satellite_UHF_combiner.html

There is an "outdoor" version too.

BTW if it's the "RF out" of a Sky Digibox, then your splitter/combiner you listed is fine as that is a TV signal and not a satellite signal. A satellite signal is ONLY the signal from the LNB on dish to the Satellite Tuner (strictly that's a Satellite IF (Intermediate Frequency) rather than the actual satellite signal)

Thanks Watty ,I expected as much that I needed a different combiner and splitter to do the job but wanted to be sure before ordering.
I have a 4 way Proception Distribution Amp (Has DC Pass for magic eye) in my attic with a UHF and VHF input .If I want to feed the RF output of the Sky box around the house can I use one of the splitters I have and combine it with the UHF input before feeding it into the amp ,is that the best way to do the job or is there a better method ?
    Edit
I tried combining the uhf aerial signal with the Sky RF o/p using the splitter today and feed the combined signal into the Amp.
The resultant Sky rf signal was fine but TV3 and TG4 from the aerial were degraded a good bit .
    Not ideal.

I tried combining the uhf aerial signal with the Sky RF o/p using the Konig splitter today and feed the combined signal into the Amp.
The resultant Sky rf signal was fine but TV3 and TG4 from the aerial were degraded a good bit especially TG4 as its higher freq.
The frequencies shouldnt be clashing ,they are at least 100mhz apart .
I guess I should have initially used an amp with 3 inputs instead of 2.:(
Any other way around this ?

Feed the aerial downlead (UHF) into the Rf input on the sky box. Then feed from RF2 to the dist amp.

Change the frequency of the rf2 out to something away from the freq. of your current UHF channels.

    Should work
