The "cost" of caring..

Well, because we sought help/took action when a man here abused his animals...

He has sent people round to tell us to leave... when that failed?

He finally after a few other tactics, threatened violence/assault.

We had the Gardai on the open phone line when that happened and they were there very fast indeed.

He had been told to stay away from us; as the Gardai were here they saw him gather his friends and said " I don't like that"..

The day after that, we were served an (illegal) eviction notice; the landlord is a friend./neighbour of the man.

Then our eligibility for Rent Allowance was challenged, meaning a huge stress etc. ie he told welfare we were cheating.

Bad move as the real reason we are still here is that we have so little money; pensioners.

We will be moving, please God, in a few weeks. Doing without much to find the cash.

Nothing more can be done until we are in a position of safety.

Such is the cost of caring?

ah, but it there were proper laws here to protect animals; the SPCA did nothing and it took many complaints to other groups from many concerned people not just us, and many months...

Regrets? No. Not that we acted as we did.

    Animals have no voice.

    No fear here either.

But we are very tired and moving is a pain.
