    Hey,

I'm wondering does anyone have any information about the 3rd Year Hospital Placement for the Biomedical Science course? In particular when are the exams held (after each 5 week block or at the end of the 26 weeks)?

    Thanks in advance.

i done the hospital placement last year.... goin into 4th year now

the assessments are at the end of each 5 weeks, you register for the dicipline youre in online a week or two beforehand. the tests were on friday afternoons, and most hospitals let students take the day off for the test.

we also had a seminar later that afternoon that you kinda have to go to.

we done a computer based mcq and short notes test, (with no negative marking :D )they were all dead handy actually compared to the second year assessments.

you also have to submit case studies (around 4-5 pages) for each dicipline 5 weeks after you leave it.... ie. your first one is submitted 10 weeks into placement and the last one is submitted 5 weeks after returning to college.

placement is nothing to worry about really, it gets fairly boring sometimes but requires very little effort compared to college
