I'll have to be careful myself pulling them feckers out, they'll have me arm off size of the ba$tards.

I was thinking of using one of the greys as a call bird will I have any success catching more greys?

We caught 300 or so last summer so yep you will. That call bird section might be a bit small for the grey crow mind. We make traps like the ones on THL except out of weldmesh. 34" square base and 22" high.

GC well able to pinch you but that's about it. Try to catch him from behind and put your hand around his neck/top of the shoulders and you'll be fine. Bit of a plastic feed bag can be used to jam him in a corner if you're nervous :D

i shot a rook today, and the roars of the rest of the flock.mental.. i was still lyin prone fishin a few rounds out of me pocket, when a mag and a grey landed around the defunct rook.. not even 2 minutes after i hit the rook they came from nowhere out of the blue.. needless to say the mag got it straight away with a class "poof" of feathers.. the grey lad fecked off and squawked for the next fifteen minutes.. other mags were chatterin like fook from all around and flittin in and out but not brave enough to land in the field, and the rooks roared and roared for the next half hour (i think they all perched in a tree across the road on the golf course, above a teeing off point.. tee hee!! Fore!! caw!!

I did not make it, a relative did. I posted a few pics somewhere yesterday.
I always said I'm from a long line of hunters:D

The "Traper" is in his mid 70's ;)

Consists of a river rescued shopping trolley, part of a windscreen wiper off a VW Vento and a clutch cable off a motorbike + a few bits of mesh and a cable tie to hold the bait to the clutch cable

    Cost noting but time!
