I wonder if you guys could help me - I'm a family friend and neighbour of some of the young lads who lost their lives in this terrible tragedy. I've SKY +'d most of the news items and told them I would try put these onto a disc that they could view down the line whenever they feel up to it. I'm unsure how to do this can anyone tell me if its possible.

I'm also unsure if doing this would break any copyright laws and if so could moderators please let me know and close this thread.

    thanks in advance

Connect your skybox to a dvd recorder and tune in the Sky channel. You then play the rcordings on the Sky+ & hit record on the other machine. You will have to play the recorded progs each time you want to save to dvd, so make sure you dont delete anything. A good idea might be to hit the Blue button to keep them . Best of luck with it. I certainly dont envy you your task.

I would still have most of last week's news items and could put them on a disc for you if you are sure that is something the family would like .They have suffered so much I would hate to do anything that would upset them any more.

RTE player seems to be some form of encryted flash so conventional video capture methods like using real player wont work. You can do it by screen capture but its messy. I have seen RTEplayer stuff on Youtube but dont know how it was done.

In addition, quality would be inferior to sky box for viewing on TV.

    There's an easier way.
Go into your list of recordings. At the bottom of the screen, you'll
see COPY. From memory it's the yellow button. [Edit: Sorry, it's the Red]
Mark each recording by pressing the copy button. When you've selected
all you require, hit ok and all the recordings will play in sequence,
doing the job in one go.

    Good luck
