    Hi all,

Just wondering where I could get information on the categories that were assigned to people in todays race, what they stand for etc I was down as MS. What does this stand for ?

    Cheers.

MS stands for Male Senior normally for males between the ages of 20 and 39.MJ is junior from ages 16 to 19 and the others are vet cats e.g. M40 for runners from ages 40 to 45.

Men senior (20-34) in most cases unless there are other specific age categories (u23s etc)

Have vets not been dropped to 35 always thought this was the case?

Depends on the race. Some categorise 35 and over as vets others 40 and over. 35 has always been age for female vets. Don't know what age was used today but judging by problems with distance anyone 2 months short of their 35th birthday should qualify as a vet!

Thanks for the replies guys - makes sense now

(Presuming that M40 and MV40 are describing the same age group depending on who is organising it)
