99 seat ibiza problems

    Hi every1 long time reader 1st time poster
    here is my story hope some1 can help

    my sister has a 99 seat ibiza 1.4 petrol
    problem with the car been she drove through a puddle of water and the car died the next day it started and worked perfect for two weeks
    but now if you go tru even a small puddle the engine dies but if you leave the car for 5 mins it will start right up and run perfect till the next puddle
    any ideas on what the problem could be ?

    Yeh, stop driving through puddles :pac: .

    Get an auto-electrician to have a look at it maybe some electrical component was exposed to the water too much or it could be a wire, there's too many possibilities.
    It needs to be looked at properly.

    stop driving through puddles hmmm if only that was an opition we do live in ireland lol
    she doent have the money to get an auto electrician to have a look at it yet
    we were hopeing for a more constructive answer
    but thanks for the reply
