Help needed: Running in Nitro engine

    Hi all,

I just got a HPI Trophy 3.5. Brand new.
So I got myself some nitro15%; read the manual.

Following the instructions, the engine starts straight away. However how do I get the engine to 'calmly' without the wheels turn around too much?
Once I start the car with the throttle 1/4 open the car nearly lifts of it's stand. I then push the throttle servo back a bit but this stalls the engine.
    Any help appreciated....

    Thanks a mill

Bring it back to the shop where you bought it. They will re-tune it free I expect.

If you bought it long distance, you have some study ahead of you!

    Hope this helps. :-)

I used to follow the engine manufacturer's break-in method - until I discovered the heat cycle break-in method.

Here is a very good tuning guide, written by a guy who mods engines.
