If so what are they like?
If you run into trouble with your purchase are they helpful?

There seems to be no direct phone number to contact them on and my emailed sales enquiry has got no response.
Would like to buy there but I'm kind of nervous that it could be trouble in the long run.

Yeah I have. Their website is shocking but the service was pretty good. Received a call about an hour after I ordered to confirm the order and my details.

If they're the website of the bricks-and-mortar store, then they should be ok.

their number is at the bottom of the page - though i presume its a monday to friday number. - probably same with email queries.

site has changed considerably since last time I looked at it, so maybe this has just been done and not all info is posted.

anyway - they're 100% legit and they operate stores primarily in the dublin area. - for the oldies about, its run by liam mckenna of the old mckenna electrical family.

It's powercity, you can just bring it back to the store.

I would strongly advise you to stay away from powercity. I bought a mobile phone from them and after four weeks it failed. I brought it back to them in blanchardstown and the service was appalling. I stood in the shop for 20 minutes before I was served. While I was waiting the guy attended to other customers at the same time delaying me even further. What should have been a simple transaction turned to farce. He eventually came back to me and told me there was nothing he could do as it had passed the 28 days period. I would expect a phone to last longer than 28 days. I will never buy anything from them again BEWARE OF POWERCITY

Powercity are going donkeys years, I have never had a problem with them and would select them over online shops for certain things.

if you go instore you can just ask them to match the price you saw online and I think they always will. In fact last christmas eve I got an even further discount in store than online just by asking (I though they would have held out thinking I was stuck for a present).

I had a beko TV which they fixed within warranty with no problem, took just a few days and I got to talk to the repairman after so I knew what to check if it went again -it lasted a good 8 years after their repair.

I got my PS3 there for a very good price and knowing I should have warranty no problem and I doubt they are likely to go out of business. Other mates got freebies with laptops they bought, and they always matched the online price.

    The website is horrific though

I bought my telly off them about a year ago. It worked out a bit cheaper buying from the website than getting it from the store and when they delivered it, they took away the old one. No problems so I wouldn't worry about buying from it.

I bought a Panasonic plasma from the web site last year. Got a call the same day to collect it. Within a week the TV died. I called the shop, they had one in stock, and they replaced it no problem the same day I called them.

I'd have no problem dealing with them.

I bought a freezer from the website recently. The website itself is awful, but I got a phone call 30 mins after placing the order to confirm all my details. Then I got a text a few mins later to confirm the delivery slot (2-hour slot, much better than a lot of places that make you wait around all day).

On the day of delivery I got a phone call an hour before they arrived to confirm that I would be there etc. They didn't complain about bringing the freezer up a flight of stairs, they also unpacked the freezer and took away all the packaging. I'd definitely recommend them.
