The news is full of sympathy for the victims of the crash and of course its an awful waste of young life's, but why has the truth not come out, I mean they were clearly disrespecting the rules of the road on many counts.

1/ over crowded car, traveling way to fast and recklessly.

2/ I would say the none of the passengers of the car bar the driver were wearing seat belts, hence he is still somehow still alive.

Its not just this, but many accidents which claim lives, its just the sympathy and the funerals and mourning, not the hard cold facts are told to the nation.

I personally have no sympathy for the vitctims as they clearly showed scant regard for other road users, any synmpathy I have is for the man in the toyota travelling home from bingo.

Cars travelling at speed are lethal bullets, it seems people don't understand that, and is sad....

I had someone clip my wing mirror about a year or so ago doing about 80mph, If he was a foot nearer to me I probably wouldn't be typing this.

Because it's plain as day that the car was overcrowded, was going too fast and that no one bar the driver had seatbelts on. Not everyone needs to have everything spelled out for them by the papers.

I'm sure the families realise this too, maybe they just don't need it shoved in their faces at the moment.

We have all done or been party to looney stuff, most of us are lucky enough to look back on it and be dreadfully ashamed. The driver will have to live with all this for the rest of his life, that's a heavy burden to carry for a looney night.

Unfortunately, people seem to think "oh, well now doesn't he have enough to deal with" with situations like these, instead of actually enforcing the law... 8 people are dead. Heavy burden or not, may he spend it behind bars, none of this suspended sentence shíte Ireland is far too fond of.

    Generalisations are great.

I made no comment as the what will / may happen the chap in the justice system, nor will I. No doubt that will be looked after appropriately.

I hope none of their families read this, whether they were in the right or in the wrong their families are grieving and really don't need you to be the jury on the accident, how do you know what happened ??

I take it that you're either one of the accident scene investigators of were a witness to the accident to be making statements like that. How do you know the other driver hadn't drifted onto the wrong side of the road for some reason? Maybe the passat had a blow out putting it on the wrong side of the road either.

Fair bit of guesswork there. The only certainty (so far) was the overloading.

And how do you know these two facts? Because they were discussed, openly and in detail, by the media even in the earliest reports of the accident. So I'm really not sure why you're saying the truth hasn't come out?
