Quote from the site re short term patents:

Because procedures are generally simpler, short-term patents can be granted reasonably quickly and well within 12 months from the filing date if requirements are complied with promptly. If applications are made for both a short-term patent and a full-term patent in respect of the same invention, the short-term patent will become void when the full-term patent is granted.

    Wow!

    - Bet you're relieved now OP, the only thing between you as you are right now and Multi-Millionaire you is waiting up to 365 days for some Office full of Public Sector Morons to quit fiddling their expenses and back-biting each others Career paths long enough to spend the 60 minutes required to protect your original and potentially life-changing idea.......

Good luck with it all :(

hmmm well the company said as long as it is patten pending (the idea/invention waiting to be fully protected) that it actually keeps me and the company protected from any competitors ...... but ya elf unions fair strict last year at the christmas party they made me work ! :(

    Patent pending
This is a term often used on products to alert competitors that an application has been made to protect the invention.
