Order Form Software

    Hi Folks,

I am wondering whether there is an order form script available which will allow users to log in to the order screen, place an order (the order is quite detailed, there are a number of required fields with option and other optional fields), have to accept the defined terms and conditions and then send an email to both the registered user and the order management admin (pref with attached PDF of order). This script does not have to be themed and can be as basic layout as possible.

Basically a professional alternative to Google Form which does exactly what I want in terms of the order form i.e. various types of input (text, radio, etc), go to page based on answer, but does not have the facility for the completed order being emailed to the person who filled it out.

A Wordpress plugin for such would be awesome

    Any tips?

    Thanks

Email sales@blacknight.com and enquire about their e commerce hosting plans they should be able to look after you I think they have templates for product orders and can take online payments should be much easier than trying to do it all for yourself.

    Thanks,

    2 things:

    1. there will be no payments whatsover.

    2. Currently it is a paper based system, they just want it converted to an electronic system, the order that will be received is still going to have to be rang (I know ) through.

The order form is just an electronic version of the current paper based on but there are quite a number of options e.g. from product a there might be 5 colours 5 sizes with another 5 options with 5 options each type job and based on these options then there are additional products that they can order too

Ok you'll still need a hosting package BlackKnight are based in Carlow and are quite competitive. There's others too Register 365 and Novara off the top of my head but I stick to what I know.

The hosting package will have to come with database support(most do) as that's when all your products, customer details pretty much everything that's paper based now will be stored in tables in the database.

Lastly you'll need a frontend to this database this is where you customers logon and place the orders and where the expense comes in as if they don't have a template that you can customise you'll need someone to design one for you.

You'll need to run reports against this database to get your orders out to put through the manual system. Another frontend.

Do you have anyone helping you get a web presence? It can be quite a mine field and secuity is a big consideration - How much damage would it do if a competitor got their hands on sensitive info?

I'm by no means an expert I just have a bit of experience from guiding clients to web developers!

    Thanks,

What I really am asking is there an existing app that will do what I require or will I have to code one myself (which I do not want to do)?

As is I have Google Form setup in the correct manner, I'm just wondering whether there is a version of this with:

    - User Login
    - PDF Output
    - Email confirmation to both

Edit: Its not customers btw, the people placing the orders will be agents for want of a better word, all I need if for them to be able to follow the form and the output emailed to them and the site admin

I'm afraid thats about as much help as I can be! You'd probably get better advice here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=1275 or here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=160
