Hitting irons off the toe

Having solved my snap hook problems, every iron I hit now seems to come right off the toe, the ball tends to go absolutely nowhere. Has this happened to anyone else, and more importantly, how was it solved? Could it just be a case of standing too far away from the ball?

You may need to get your professional to take two inches off the length of your clubs

Going by your history of snap hooks you may have a very out-to-in swing which could be causing you to hit it off the toe. There are a couple of other possibilties though. Try addressing the ball with the heel of the club and see does this help at all, might be a bit of a quick fix but really you should see a pro to diagnose it properly.

    Unless he's a midget that's highly unlikely!

Too far from the ball is a possibility I'd guess but get a lesson from a decent teacher who would spot exactly what you're doing wrong.

Told my mate the same one day as he kept banging on about how great his new clubs were while shooting a mare
He said why should he get two inches off

So i told him they'd fit into a wheelie bin a lot easier then....... They're wasn't much chat for a hole or two
