    Hi all.

After my last thread i am set on a HTC Desire for now.

But was wondering what nextwork offers the best package and more importantly what one works.

Just from reading threads here, I seen there has been problems with all the next works.

But if you had to start all over again and pick your nextwork now ( With everything you have learned )

What one would you go for :D

    Cheers

    Cheers for the reply.

The plan was to get the 3 prepay plan, But after reading a thread here about how misleading the deal i with 3

    unlimited Internet

but in fact its 5 euro for 250MB a month. Thats not alot.

Tho it was said it was going up to 500MB for 5 euro.

I used to be with 3 and moved to Meteor to get the Desire.
I was worried about loss of signal and issues with 3G. After the first month I've had no real problems. There were maybe three times that The phone lost it's signal but I dropped it into aircraft mode and back out and that fixed it. No need to reboot. Hopefully that won't become mnore of an issue.
Battery life....it's basically a day but seems to be improving.
I can recommend Meteor as you get a REALLY good deal. 200 mins and 200 texts and most importantly 1GB data. The 1GB data on 3 costs an extra 9.99.
I was told by a friend who works in a 3 store that they won't have the Desire till September. Not sure what the story elsewhere is.
    Hope that helps.

I moved from Vodafone to Meteor to get mine, better deal, only 12 month contract (18 is ridiculous), and as a bonus I can actually make and receive calls at home now (inside the house).

I'll go with meteor all the time as well. I actually wanted an iphone originally, but couldn't justify moving to o2 or vodafone and paying far more money for less minutes, texts and data.

Thankfully the desire came along and now have a far better phone for far better value!

For record, I've had no reception troubles to date.

Cheers for all the replies people.

I was with Meteor but left them when the Blackberry storm came out and went with vodafone. ( big mistake )

I'll look in to going back to meteor so.

Tho i was planning on going pre-pay,

    Cheers again

I had a look at all the networks on Bill Pay and Meteor was by far the best on offer. You appear to get more bang for your buck. I would only contemplate another network if I didn't have WiFi access or had a bad 3g signal. I live in the Dun Laoghaire area of Dublin so signal strength always good. Will keep ya'll up to date next time i'm in the Athlone area or the Donegal area. Hopefully Meteor will come good for me then.

Bit of advice if you are a current Meteor customer and due an upgrade. Go in and get your new phone on the final day of your billing period (ie. my own billing period was 15/06/10 to 14/07/10, so i went in on 14/07/10 to get the phone). This way your new tariff (smart plan) will come into effect from the 15/07/10. That means that your Data Allowance is ready and able to go. I thought I'd have to wait until August to use it but checked on it this morning and hey presto. Even rang Customer Service to make sure. Bob's your Uncle!!

people think thats not a lot - but in fairness it is for the vast majority of people.

i use 750MB and that still leaves me with a fiver to spend on weekday calls as everything else is free.

prepay you will get it right up the ass on data - 99c a day minimum on the meteor/voda/02.

    Whats a nextwork? :P

I'm on Vodafone pay monthly, happy enough with it. I think VF Passport is pretty poor, was offered 25c calls in Slovakia but had to pay a connection fee of 75c PER call, or else I could just pay 48c a minute without Passport. Needless to say I didn't take it.

The good thing I will say about them is the 2gb allowance I got free, I could use in Slovakia and it was inclusive.
