    hi,

    does anyone know if the annual report of dunnes stores if published or available anywhere online?

    am doing a project and currently looking for a case study

    any help would be brilliant :-)

    As far as i know it's a private unlimited company so published reports won't be available anywhere.

    Correct, you will get very little financial information about Dunnes (the main trading company anyway).

    There one of the most secretive companies in Ireland in terms of financial information and any details or press information is probably based somewhat on guess work and market competitors who's information is available.

    Yep, the main Dunnes company is unlimited. You'd be able to get your hands on some subsidiary accounts like UK or NI but not the main holding company.

    Tesco Ireland have a turnover of c. €2.9bn with c. 26% of the Irish grocery market. Dunnes have c. 24% share of the market so you could estimate their turnover isn't too far behind Tesco, but that doesn't take into account
    Dunne's UK, Northern Ireland or Spanish operations. So I'd guess that their total turnover is north of €3bn

    Not sure if this would be any help, but CRH release their financial statements. All are downloadable. Prior years too. The website is a nice, user friendly format too.

    thanks for all the help.

    its an accounting project so am looking for a private limited company in uk& ireland that uses revaluation model .

    was trying dunnes stores just as a place to start !

    will just have to keep looking
