Issue with BB dropping when I start a download.

I have 30Mb UPC BB in Swords. Almost everytime I start a usenet download my connection drops, I then release and renew my connection in my router and then my download continues at the full 30Mb. It's getting very irritating, and nothing has changed that could have triggered this issue at my end. Any ideas?
