sea (rock) FISHING

    Can anyone give me some info on float fishing off rocks, gear set up, techniques, etc, also the viability of night fishing off rocks off the west coast... thanks in advance

    Night fishing off rocks is a great way to exit this world early!
    All it takes is a set of waves that produces the wave in a hundred, one of double size, and it's goodbye.
    During the day at least you can see a big swell coming ....

    I always regarded the advantage of rock fishing as being able to fish deep water. This is productive during the day.
    However the shallow beaches become more productive when light falls and night arrives. So for night fishing, surf beaches might be an interesting and safer alternative.
