Just bringing peoples attention to this
Gay Men’s Health Service’s summer living and loving workshops

This years Gay Men’s Health Service’s summer living and loving workshops are happening this August. The workshops will run from 7.00pm to 9.00pm in Outhouse (Dublin’s LGBT community centre) at 105 Capel St. The work-shops are run by Ciarán Nolan and David Boxwell, facilitators of the GMHS 8 week personal development course.

17th Aug: Challenging internalized homophobia - work-shop aimed at exploring & understanding the factors which lead to internalised homophobia with a focus on self esteem and feeling good about yourself.

24th Aug: Sexual assertiveness and flirting skills - this work-shop will give an over-view of skills to enable you to be more sexually assertive, how to ask for the sex you want, safer sex and some fun flirting skills.

31st Aug: "" Living your best gay life"" - this work-shop will look at life balance, we'll be looking at skills and strategies to manage busy lifestyles and helping you to recognize when life may be out of balance and what you need to do to re-align yourself.

The workshops are free. To book your place please contact GMHS outreach team 01 8734952 gmhpoutreach@eircom.net

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

I was sent a PM about these
I've just started the coming out process and saw your post mentioning those workshops which sound useful.
I was wondering if you yourself have ever attended any of them or know of people that have; what was the feedback like, is there anything to be aware off etc?
    - I responded to it but it might be helpful or useful if anyone else wants to respond as well

Thinking of maybe going to one or two of these myself
