I am flying to Chicago in a few weeks, my plan is to fly into OHR just for 3 days or so before flying onto NYC, now my question is this, does anyone have any experience of "legged" flight, as is when I did this before to a different location, the bagggage allowance covered me on all flight..
even though one was an internal flight..
But ~ I dont think I can break for a few days before continuing my journey...

I am flying with Aerlingus to Chicago, and maybe jet blue as they have an arrangement with each other... I know i could ring them but just wanted to see if anyone had any experience of doing this ??

I did something similar on air Canada and United and with the internals my upper allowance was honoured by United on each of the internal legs. If in doubt contact the airlines your using.

Three days in Chicago, five in Boston, three in Toronto...

If the domestic flight is part of the same reservation as the international flight (which usually means it is on the same day) then the airline will honor the baggage allowance of the international flight on the domestic flight. If the flights are completely separate (which it sounds like yours are - different days, different airlines) then they will not and you will have to pay the baggage fee.
