I'm not sure if this has been done before but i have always been interested to see how one of my photos would turn out if it were processed by someone else. I was thinking that i'd start of by posting an unprocessed photo (800 pixels longest side), then the next 14 posters have to process the photo to the way they would want it. After 15 posts (the original unprocessed one and 14 other posts) it will be on to the next page and the next boardsie has to post an unprocessed photo they have taken, Then another 14 posts shall proceed that image and so on. Thank your favourite versions and remember it's just for fun.

Here are some simple rules to the thread.

1: try and stick to 15 posts per page in total so the unprocessed image stays on top (if posts are quoted, that still counts as a post)

2: limit your upload to 800 pixels for the longest side

    3: first come first served

    4: thank your favourite versions

5: you can do whatever you like to the photo

6: look at the top right hand corner to see the post number

7: don't complain to me if this doesn't work :)

Nice idea, you would do it when my monitor is bust!! Using a crappy old laptop here [with missing keys] which has no lightroom ... :(

but will jump in once sorted.

[edit] consider this process # 1 - Simply Done in Irfanview - as my pc was on the blink :D

Quick edit in work - almost the result I would have tried to have gotten at home but have no cloning tool, the wire would have been gone. So try to look at it without that wire :o

Using Lightroom in work (not overly familiar with using it compared to CS3). I'd process different in CS3.

i don't have photoshop - but if i had the inclination to open up gimp i'd probably have cloned out the wire... but then again i'm not a fan of getting rid of stuff like that from an image. anyhoo here's my go :

Mine's probably a bit more boring than most.. but I think it looks good.

I probably would have shot it differently.. but that's not the nature of this exercise. ;)

First, quick swipe with eraser, then google for picture, eraser of the background, resize of the lighthouse, position it, new layer with background colour, crop and export for web.

Things that were in the first chapter of CS4 book :)

Didn't do much as i'm still learning photoshop at the moment but I just made the sky a little brighter and for some reason I thought it would be cool if there was a canoe in the pic :D

The last two have tons of haloing & jpeg noise around the haloing in the sky. :(
I like the deep saturation though.. always have.
