Ever been to a 'Gentleman's Club' ?

Was at a stag a while back and at the end of the night we went to a lapdancing club.

Was quite different that I expected. I was thinking packed to the brim with really sleazy oulfellas or stag groups.

In reality it was pretty normal looking guys. Was talking to an English guy in his twenties at the bar who was interrailing. He was good-looking and confident, could have pulled easily elsewhere but just said he found lap-dancing places good craic. Another thing that surprised me was the length of time the girls spent talking to the guys.

When first walking in I was nervous but when you sit down you realise its not dodgy at all.

What I found very amusing was it was exactly like a normal bar in reverse. You couldn't look around without some girl trying to make eye contact or a girl trying to start a conversation. If they weren't so hot you'd feel like they were sleazy bitches(I'm aware of the irony in that comment:D)

Overall its far too expensive to do regularly unless you're on big money, but I had a great craic chatting to one girl and can't say I didn't enjoy the dance. Will go back when I'm a millionaire :rolleyes:

So guys what do you think of them? Good fun or not your thing?

I went to one in Helsinki last summer. I was at a party with a mate and left to go into town. We tried every kind of bar to get in but with no luck (we were 17)
Anyway we passed a lap dancing club and said shur fcuk it we may aswell try! We walked straight in (after paying €20 entrance fee) no questions asked about id or anything!

The place was full of sleezy old men and a few groups of young lads and the odd couple! The women danced on a stage for about 5 minutes at a time before going around collecting their "tip" in their thongs. We couldn't afford private dances but thinking back we easily gave away the price of one to the girls collecting their tips! The women seemed quite old aswell but if they happily let in 2 17 year olds I'm sure it wasn't the most upmarket place in town!!

My mate said he didn't enjoy it, he said it made him feel like a perv but I would happily go to one again!

Went to one on a stag. T'was good craic, but jaysus ya leave with a huge feckin horn and nothing to do with it, most frustrating till ya get back to the hotel for some 'privacy'

Went to one in Dublin for a laugh and swore I'd never go to an Irish club again.

Frankfurt was just sleazy and kind of creepy.

I've been to loads of them in different countries. Some have been classy and enjoyable while others have been a bit seedy. Same as any type of club I suppose.

Never been to one and have no desire to really. I have no great moral objection to them, there are probably extremely sleazy ones where the girls are not looked after that well just as there probably are really well maintained ones with the girls being looked after quite well and earning a good pay packet, I just don't really see the point, you are paying to be frustrated.

Given the choice i think it would be a much more fun night out with a bunch of lads in a pub and watching your mates hitting on girls rather than watching a girl try to extract money from our wallets.

- Got an american mate to bring me to one in Vegas cuz id never been to one. Seriously dodge and sleezy - had a hooker trying to get me interested by showing me a scar on her chest that some dude left by opening her bra with a knife....didn't like it.

- Was so smashed in New York when we went to another one (a good one this time!) that I tried buying "fantasia dollars" with my company credit card :eek::eek::eek:

Went to one near Stephens Green last year. It was great fun. Expensive, but fun.

Some eastern european chick came up to me and I decided to go for a lapdance, it was pretty awesome. The place looked clean and the girls were hot. Not sleazy at all.

A++ would go again.

Went to the one in Cordona in Milan when we go over for the Inter matches, wimmins were smoking hot and great craic if you have a bunch of lads wouldn't go into one on me own. Few sleazy fellas in there and abit of Mafioso who were good craic but ya wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of. €25 in with free and €10 a drink (Quadruple vodka and dash of red bull) so was abit expensive but worth it.

Went to one in Amsterdam. Admission was €30, but you got 4 or 5 drink tokens with that. It was a bit more 'hard core' than most. We saw the usual dance/strip. It was great craic up to this point. Then something odd involving a banana :eek: Finally decided enough was enough when we were sitting there watching two people having sex. So we left. I tell ya, they started off in the shallow end.

Maybe you could say it's an escapist fantasy but I always felt a bit stupid after I left.

It's like everyone is pretending and your paying to be part of this fake world which I don't really want to be part of. The girls are pretending they think you are Brad Pitt, when in reality they probably think you're hideous!

Have never been to a "gentlemans club", but a stripper was hired for the B-day of a friend-of-a-friend, (chap I was in the same house as during a summer stateside), granted the setting was different since it was a bunch of guys in the living room whooping while this woman....did her thing?

Found it really off-putting though, actually gave her $20 to give the birthday-boy another dance just to get her away from me. not that there was anything wrong with her as such, the whole scene just didn't sit right with me.

That said I should reiterate that this was a completely different setting, one woman, a roomful of drunk, raucous lads, and the bouncer hovering by the door, probably not the same as a "proper" club.

Went to one once and will never go again, I think stripclubs are for losers with more money then sense, biggest waste of money in the world. The girls are very clever making sure to seperate you from your mates making it very difficult for you to avoid talking to them, and after you've said no to a dance about 20 times you eventually crack and go for one as theirs absolutely nothing else to do in the place, I used the excuse that I'd no money but then they ask do you have a credit card etc, their so, so persistent and as was said already it's a very funny experience having so many women eager to chat to you : ).

Your then paying to be sexually frustrated, why the fook would you want to pay for this? I remember when I was a teenager, sexual frustration is horrible! It would be ok if you could have a **** while your watching her strip but oh no...your hands are flat on your seat and going nowhere. Imagine dying of thirst on a really hot day and buying a glass of coke and starring at it for a few minutes imagining how wonderful is would taste...then instead of tasteing it you hand the glass of coke back and get the bus home while thinking about the coke all the way home...some people have a very strange notion of enjoyment

Super for stags but expensive. Treat it as entertainment, like going to the opera or a concert.
