As the title suggests I'm looking for a reasonably priced salon for a full head of meche and a funky cut!

I've searched 37 pages on this forum and any threads on salons always suggest the likes of Brown Sugar and Cowboys and Angels - Im a hairdresser and know exactly how much all these salons pay for the colour so don't fancy spending a fortune!

I want a totally different hairstyle too.

Please help me I'm cracking up :(

Oh need somewhere open Mondays :)

    Thanks :)

I go to the haidressers in the Carlisle gym in Kimmage
They do "early bird" mroning specials - I get full head tint + cut for €69.

I always go to House of Colour on Capel Street.
They are great to deal with, steer you in the right direction if you want something done and they don't think it would work too well for you etc.

Great for colour - I get a full head of highlights, couple of treatments put in and a cut every two months - usually costs about 150 quid, but when I go in for the top up colour in the middle, they only ever charge for the wash/blowdry.
My hair comes down past my shoulders, is quite thick and curly and there is a LOT of it there - so for my 150 quid I get about 4 hours of relaxing in the chair and a couple of glasses of wine too!!

Although I know most people would be a bit wary, I go to haridressing schools to get mine done, and have had two very good experiences with cuts and blowdry - while my friend got her highlights done there too and they were fab.
I go to the Robert Chambers School on Liffey St, and it costs me €18 (student rate but it's usually €23) for a cut and blowdry, but the colouring is very reasonable too.
It takes a bit longer, as the student takes their time and their supervisor keeps checking up and offering advice but I think it's worth it!

Keep an eye out for Chinese salons, they're super cheap and do great work. Tian Du on Capel Street is fantastic.

Tian Du are very good for haircuts but I wouldn't recommend getting highlights there. I got a half head a couple of months ago because I was poor and I really wish I didn't. The guy didn't put them in very carefully and there was a lot of seepage around the roots leaving me with great big blobs around my roots! It took a lot to get my hair back to proper highlights!
