fee for ghostwriter?

Hi all, I have been approached to ghostwrite a book and I was wondering what the going rate is. It's 200 pages, around 400 words a page, to my knowledge all of this will be done via me interviewing the "author"...I have never wrote a book before but have a lot of experience in journalism. It's an industry manual of sorts..…

Hi all,

I have been approached to ghostwrite a book and I was wondering what the going rate is. It's an industry manual of sorts.. I'm not ghostwriting a celeb autobiography or anything!! I'm asking because I think fee that has been suggested is a little low, however, because I think I might get more work from them I have been willing to prove myself with this first then name my fee the next time. So really interested to hear views. Thanks so much.
